What Causes Low Hemoglobin, diabetes And Appetite Loss In Pregnancy?

My daughter who is 38 is pregnant and expecting her 5th child. She has low hemoglobin, possibly is developing diabetes(she has to have a 2nd test) and she does not feel like eating too much. She has also been treated for strep in the urine twice with antibiotics. Do you think this is normal or could there be something more serious going on.

Hello dear,I understand your concern. In my opinion urine infection might be common in pregnancy. I suggest you to increase the Hb level by increased iron supplements or if it is very less then blood transfusion might be necessary. But the daibetes might be seen in a few people. But as she is already term then you need not worry.Because if any complications develop the delivery can be done immediately.Take adequate fluids upto 2-3 litres to prevent urinary infections.
