What Causes Low Heart Rate?

My heart rate is 48BMM with a blood pressure of 116/70. I am 65 years old and was diagnosed with Cardiomyopathy in 2000, it was viral in nature and I have recovered from a ejection fraction of 38 percent to a current ejection fraction of 62. Should I be concerned with this low heart rate?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

You shouldn't worry about your heart rate even that you have a slightly bradycardia. Your HR is within accepted limit for bradycardia as long as you are symptomless. In case that you experience fatigue, dizziness and other pre fainting symptoms you should go to emergency room.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
