What Causes Loss Of Taste?

I all of a sudden lost my ability of taste. Salt is bitter, sugar is sour. I was recently put on gabapentin for neuropathy but the doctor said that isn't a side affect of this medication. Would an infection caused by mold of some sort cause this because I think I have been expose to a lot of mold recently. Also by mouth is so dry.

Thank you for asking!
Dry mouth and taste dysfunctional issues are correlated as both leaf to oral hygiene troubles leading to Oak fungal infections low in your case. All you need is a good oral hygiene and consult to an oral hygienist and let them sort it out for you. Also the upper respiratory tract and Gerd needs to be ruled or too as that also leads to taste dysfunction. To early to comment on. Consult an oral hygienist and have their say.
Take care
