What Causes Loss Of Taste And Numbness In The Lips?

I have growing loss of feeling and taste in my tongue and loss of feeling in my lips and right side of face. I was told I had a mini stroke one year ago. Are these issues related. How concerned should I be regarding travel and precipitating a more severe stroke?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Stroke can cause similar symptoms due to damage to taste sensing centers in the brain.

If symptoms persist, better to consult a neurologist and plan for a CT scan.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
