What Causes Loose Bowel Movements With Orange Spots?

I was switched from macrobid to keflex for a uti due to heavy diarrhea and nausea. I have been off the macrobid for 48 hours. This morning when I had a bm (still somewhat loose) I saw orange spots in the toilet afterward. I did try to eat a more normal diet yesterday which included chinese orange chicken (I know fried foods aren t the greatest after diarrhea). Does this indicate a problem?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The orange spots with loose bowel movements co-relate with the intake of Chinese orange chicken only, nothing to worry.

Advisable to avoid non-veg, junk foods, oily, spicy till complete recovery.

Addition of GI specific antibiotic as Metronidazole or Rifaximin with probiotics as lactobacillus help best for early recovery.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel,
