What Causes Light Brown Discharge After Protected Sex?

I had protected sex and he pulled out before anything happened 2 days after my period now im having a light brownish/red discharge. i did the water test on the condom and nothing leaked out and we used it right so im confident that i am not pregnant. but whats going on?

Thanks for trusting us with your health concern. In the current scenario, you cannot be pregnant. Firstly, ovulation occurs two weeks prior to the onset of the next period and this is when pregnancy can occur. Therefore, the period around the menstrual cycle is safe. Secondly, the spotting could be due to an ending period, sometimes precipitated after an intercourse, due to the pressure. Wait for a couple of days and if the discharge does not subside, get further help from your health care provider. It is likely that you may be experiencing some breakthrough bleeding, which can be controlled with styptics. Hope his helps.
