What Causes Light Bleeding In A Menopausal Woman Post Hysterectomy?

I am 56 years old. I had a subtotal hysterectomy in 1992 R/T fibroids. I haven t had my period since then. I have had all the signs of going through menopause . yesterday I noticed some spotting of blood in my underpants which has continued up to this point. the bleeding is light but continuous. I am having no pain or cramping, no fever, nausea or vomiting.

Hi,

Post Menopausal bleeding is very rare condition. Even after hysterectomy, my advice for you is to consult a gynecologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Meeta.asnani
