What Causes Ligh Periods While On Duphaston?

I have pcos. I m using duphaston and taking it for 5 days only in the begining of the month to get my period. I ve been using it for 4 months..But my period is very very light.. About 3 days or 4 if I m lucky..But it s more like spotting instead of bleeding. Is that normal?I also didn t get my period last month at all although I used the pill.I m wondering, should I be taking more than 5 pills a month?

Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Withdrawal bleeding due to duphastone is scanty in flow, if the drug is taken monthly in PCOS patient.
Sometimes, the endometrial lining is not fully developed, and in this scenario, withdrawal bleeding due to progesterone drugs like duphastone is scanty in flow.
There is no requirement to take duphastone for more than5 days a month.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
