Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Left Sided Body Pain With Numbness In Finger Tips Post Injury?
I have tennis elbow but got into a car accident the left side is all in pain and my veins are pertuding and pulsing my finger tips get hot and numb but I went for a nerve test it came back with no damage. my pain is getting worse. what do you think I have?
Please get yourself evaluated for cubitus tunnel syndrome or carpal tunnel syndrome as these two conditions can result in numbness over the finger. It is a condition where there is nerve entrapment which causes these symptoms. You haven't mentioned whether you sustained some injury over any area in the car accident.
Assuming that there was no direct injury to the area, I would advise you to get yourself evaluated for these 2 conditions. I would like to recommend MRI for ruling out these conditions. If there has been a direct trauma then there could be some dislocation or fracture which could lead to nerve compression.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Anoop Kumar, General & Family Physician
