What Causes Left Side Pain Of A 9 Year Old?
My 9 year old son is complaining of left side pain. He's showing from the top of his ribs all the way down to his stomach and says the pain goes around to his back?? I don't have a clue where to start? Says it's been hurting on and off since before lunch time.

Hi.did the child have any traumatic injury like fall on abdomen or chest or some kind of blunt trauma? Post traumatic pain can present in such manner. Pancreatic injury is also associated with such pain but it is severe and child prefers sitting position. If the pain is burning quality then gastric dyspepsia can also be a cause. Detailed evaluation is needed.
