What Causes Late Periods?
I have never had intercourse, but my boyfriend has rubbed his penis around my vagina before, but never ejaculated near it. I am a week and a half late on my period, but do not have other signs of early pregnancy (nausea, lower abdominal cramps, tender breasts). I also had a very very stressful month that may have caused this late period. Today, I started what I assumed to be a period, but it was very light and a brownish, pinkish color. Is this normal for a late period to start out light and be brownish/pinkish?

I guess your concern is- are you pregnant, though there was no proper intercourse, right? I got the picture.. You never had intercourse, and boyfriend rubbed penis around private part, but did not ejaculate near it. With this kind of activity getting pregnancy are very less very less chances, so relax. But I cant assure you 100%.because medical world is known for many miracles.
If pregnancy happens, periods gets delayed. Here you have told its delayed by a week and half. So its adding double confusion to scenario. So I cant pin point and say no 100% to pregnancy. One more info is not shared by you is- is the brownish or pinkish color associated with some small small mass/cluster like thing. Menses along with small small mass/cluster like thing indicate abortion.
You can try out my suggestions:
1. Get urinary pregnancy test done, urinary pregnancy test kits are available at your nearby medical stores at affordable prices. Buy it, you can do it by yourself. If its negative, you are not pregnant,
If it turns to be positive, you visit a nearby gynecologist for further help without delay.
2. I insist you to visit a near by gynecologist to examine tat brownish, pinkish color thing (I have told about shortage of info). Gynecologist have a sound knowledge about female anatomy and her body functions. So by seeing it directly they can rule out abortion.
3. Suggest boyfriend to use condom always.
