What Causes Late Periods With Headaches And Soreness In Breast?

Hi, I m a healthy 29 yr. old female. I have 3 children. This is the very first time I m late on my period. I already got a blood test to check HCG levels and I m not pregnant. I have been getting headaches, cramping, extremely sore breast for the past 3 weeks. I still have not got my period. What could be triggering this change?

Hello,
Thanks for letting us know your health concern. Since you have already excluded pregnancy, in the current scenario, the other likely causes are hormone imbalance created by sudden weight changes, stress, infection, cysts on the ovary etc. Further evaluation is needed to clarify and plan proper management. A sonogram of the pelvis, preferably in the trans-vaginal route, will help. Hope you find this information helpful. Take care.
