What Causes Late Periods With Fatigue And Hot Flashes?

My period was 2 days late and I had a hard time(hormonally) until it started. Fatigue, extreme hot flashes. It lasted 5 days (normal and heavy) . after my period i had a yeast infection right away. 6 days after it ended I am now having cramps, light pink spotting. This has been going on for 3 days now. My chart says I should ovulate in 2 days. However I m not sure due to being 2 days late on my last period. Any advice on what may be happening?

Hi there,
After going through your question, I am of the opinion that:
1) The spotting and light cramp could be a sign of ovulation called Mittelschmerz bleeding. It is a normal phenomenon.
2) Having periods delayed by 2 days is not significant. It is a common occurence.
3) The hot flushes are due to pre-menstrual syndrome.
4) I do not think you should worry at all. Just relax.

Hope I was able to help you.
Regards,
Dr. Shikha
