What Causes Late Periods, Negative Pregnancy Tests And Pain In Lower Left Side?

I am 38 years old I have been trying to conceive. I missed my period according to cycle which I have been tracking now for 3 months with a 22 day cycle is 12 days late. I took a pregnancy t home test that was negative and that repeated twice once when I was due then and then 6days later. I am having pain on left lower side and I loose energy when moving around. Is there some type of explanation.

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
I really appreciate your concern if the menses is late and the pregnancy test is negative then this is not the pregnancy and the delayed menses could be due to the changes in hormone level and this is quite common phenomenon, the pain that you have at lower side of abdomen could be nonspecific and will disappear, take care and have nice day.
