What Causes Itchy Burning Vagina With Discharge?

I have a question... Over a month ago I was treated for an infection through my whole body I had pimples all over my neck chest and arms do the dr put me on bactrim for a week. Then after two weeks I got symptoms of itching, discharge and burning and cuts and swelling in my vaginal area so I thought it might be a UTI cause I usually get one after I have been on an antibiotic for awhile so I went back to the dr and they tested my urine and they said my white cells were off ( not sure) and that he was going to send it out for culture but in mean time put me on another antiobiotic cipro for 5 days. Then that night it got so bad with the burning I couldn t stand it and I was crying in pain from swelling that I went to the ER and they took another urine sample and she even examined me down there and told me that my urine test came back that I had a severe bladder infection which I have never ever had one this bad in my life and she prescribed me nirofurantion mono-mcr 100mg every 12 hrs for 14 days and pyridium 200 mg every 8 hrs for 3 days for pain. It now has been 3 weeks later and I still have something going on with me. I still have vaginal discharge all the time and have had to wear a pad for over a month which is getting ridiculous and I m still having itching and soreness not as bad as it was but still there. What do u think this could be?? Now I m starting to freak out and pray to god I don t have a STD. I have been with the same person for over 3 years though. Would they have known at the ER when they did my urine test if I had a STD or not??? Would it show in my urine culture??? I also am noticing little tiny cuts also on my labia and vulva areas and that s where it hurts and get irritated. Would I still have a UTI after all the antibiotics I have taken??

hello,

welcome to HCM,

i have read your history and want to give u some suggestions that relieve your yeast as well as urinary infection both.

when i am treating patients with such kind of complains, i am prescribing her following treatments

Antibiotics usually are the first line treatment for urinary tract infections. combination of ofloxacin and ornidazole twice a day for 3 to 5 days depends upon the severity of the disease is usefull. it will flush out the bacteria from urinary tract and make it healhy

pain medication (analgesic) that numbs your bladder and urethra to relieve burning while urinating, but pain usually is relieved soon after starting an antibiotic. ibuprofen for pain relief - 250 mg twice a day for 3 days is also good for pain relief

Drink plenty of water. Water helps to dilute your urine and flush out bacteria.
Avoid drinks that may irritate your bladder. Avoid coffee, alcohol, and soft drinks containing citrus juices or caffeine until your infection has cleared. They can irritate your bladder and tend to aggravate your frequent or urgent need to urinate.
Use a heating pad. Apply a warm, but not hot, heating pad to your abdomen to minimize bladder pressure or discomfort.

cranberry juice to prevent UTIs

Wipe from front to back. Doing so after urinating and after a bowel movement helps prevent bacteria in the anal region from spreading to the vagina and urethra.
Empty your bladder soon after intercourse. Also, drink a full glass of water to help flush bacteria.

Change your birth control method. Diaphragms, or unlubricated or spermicide-treated condoms, can all contribute to bacterial growth.

for yeast infection

some patients are getting relief from their vaginal itching and burning sensation from following treatment. you might get relief from it. but take it under the supervision of physician and after the confirming the diagnosis

fluconazole for 3 days after meal is for washout the fungal growth from vagina and maintain the normal flora

use clotrimazole powder after perspiration, bathing, and swimming

do not wash vagina to much

do not wash vagina and groin area with soap it will alter normal PH of vagina and invite bacteria

use v-wash or clean and dry or intimate area wash two ties in a day for washing vaginal area it will maintain normal PH and bacterial flora

wear cotton based , fresh and clean underwear

do not use soap which leads to excessive dryness. use tea tree oil for toipical external application which has strong anti fungal activity

use topical application of clotrimazole thrice a day will help you a a lot.

you need to maintain personal hygiene, drink lots of water, keep your vagina clean, need to void following sexual intercourse, and have a healthy diet. If your immunity is decreased, to tend to be more prone for infections.hope I was helpful to you.

Hope this may help you
thanks
