What Causes Irregular Menstrual Bleeding?
Hi, I haven't had a period for 3 months. My last one was Middle August. My cycles are typically 40 - 45 days. I am NOT pregnant. For the last couple of weeks I've been experiencing blood when I wipe. Sometimes a spot, other times a streak and sometimes a bit more within clear discharge. I am 24 years old. I have had 2 children, my youngest is 14 months old. Help!

(2)abnormal levels of thyroid hormone
(3)emotional stress or illness
(4)high levels of prolactin hormone
(5)physical stress or illness
(6)polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS)
It may be best to see your doctor for an assessment.

Brief...it could be hormonal disbalance
Detailed answer..since if you are not pregnant then it could be disbalance of hormones , you may need estrogen and progesterone blood level and discuss with your gynaecologist.
I also would like to know wether you get any pain in abdomen or changes in weight , if yes, you may need ultrasound abdomen to rule out ovarian problem.
