I am experiencing a pretty intense pain/tingling/burning sensation in my left arm. it started in just the upper area-shoulder to elbow and has now extended down to my hand which feels very tight and is burning. i have had a headache most of the day, which is also getting worse and my jaw feels like it wants to clench. in addition i am 34.5 weeks pregnant.
Hi, Dr Purushottam Neurgaonkar here. I welcome welcome you to HCM VIRTUAL CLINIC . I have gone through your question question, and I think I have understood your concern. I will suggest you the best possible treatment options.
As such tthere's no relation between your complaint and pregnancy . Your symptoms can be due to spasm of the neck muscles, or due to pressure on the nerves supplying left upper limb. This can happen due to some positional changes in the cervical spine vertebrae .
I will suggest you to adopt correct posture. Start with simple neck muscle exercises. Tab Calpol 650 mg can be taken as needed for pain. Use of Calcium, vitamin D and N complex group of vitamins will be of help.
Once you deliver, X ray and orthopaedic consultation and physiotherapy can be started.
I hope this answer helps you. Thanks Dr Purushottam Neurgaonkar
