What Causes Inflammation And Pain In Arms And Legs Of A Type I Diabetic?

My wife is 44 years old and type one diabetic since five years old. She is currently on an insulin pump since the past two years. She is 5 feet 5 inches. About a 125 pounds or less. For the past few months my wife had pain in her left and right arms. Recently she went to her gp and he said her arms were inflamed.he then sent her for a blood test. Her blood test came back with a ck value of 5 times higher than it should be.A week later she went to a rhumalogist where he ordered more bood tests ,a biopsy and an electode test. so far she had the blood tests and in one week she will have the electrode test. My wife also skates for an hour and a half per week. The pain in her arms are the worst at night when she is sleeping. She has lots of pain when she put on her clothes. But she is able to skate. Is the high ck level something we should woory about.
