What Causes Increased Pulse Rate?

Hi. Normally, I have a pretty high pulse rate (its always between 70 and 90). I got used to it. But every time when i drink some energy drink, instead of increase my pulze rate, suddenly it goes down at 50, max. 60. I dont have any explanation at that. I really dont get it. By what it can be caused?
Im 17 years old, and I have no other health problems.

Hi
normal pulse rate is between 60-100 beats per minutes,,so your pulse rate was not hig but normal

dehdration causes tachycardia as in order to maintain the blood pressure hear has to contract more times so that blood pressue is maintained , however when your body is rehydrrated blood pressure can be maintained at lower normal heart rate about 60 beats per minutes.

i would suggest you a 24 hour holter to rule out the cause of mild bradycardia a machine calle holter would be attached to your body and will keep recor of all the rythm and the rate of heart beat during the next 24 hours,
