I am HAIDER, male 48 yrs from Karachi (Pakistan) and i am a non smoker. My blood pressure is 140/80 about 2 hours ago. Last night, during sleep, my heart beat suddenly rose/increased and i was awake and got very upset due to that. It came to normal in a few moments. Its happening since last week or so but always during I am lying on my bed. Please advise me. Thanks

Hi Haider, You have borderline high blood pressure that is shooting up at night. This is causing your heart to beat fast. You need to start a mild dose of a drug for blood pressure like metoprolol that also slows the heart rate. Regards
