What Causes Hungry Feeling With History Of Cardiac Arrests?
My friend is 26, physically fit, but had 2 cardiac arrests and bled out about a year ago. He now has a heart clamp I believe he called it? The Dr beloved it was stress related from serving in the Army and personal reasonings. Today he told me that he has been feeling like he is starving and eating constantly for the past 3 days and nothing relieves his hunger like pains. He is also dizzy and is experiencing headaches like he did prior to his heart issues. He said that he burped up water that he drank and it was a mouthful of blood. Any ideas if this could be related to his prior issues or what could be going on? I m really worried about him.

hi it could be an angioplasty done after the two cardiac arrests. the present condition can also be an ischaemic attack, complicated into cardiogenic pulmonary edema. cardiac enzymes, ecg,chestx-ray, 2d-echo and angiogram will confirm the diagnosis. he requires urgent medical care, with diuretics, anti-anginal vasodilators,( if required antiplatelets and anticoagulants) this recurrent cardiac problems can be stress and life style related. please consult the cardiologist as early as possible. all the best for your friend. take care
