What Causes Human Papillomavirus?
I was diagnosed with HPV by a pap smear, however I have only been with one sexual partner and my husband has also been with one sexual partner...eachother. We were eachother's first, been together since grade school and have only been with one another. Does this mean that he has strayed from me.

Pap smear positive for HPV almost always suggest that you got it from your husband who is already infected with HPV.
The infection is usually acquired by direct/intimate contact during vaginal, anal, or possibly through oral sex, with someone who has this infection.
HPV infection may not be obvious i.e the infection may remain clinically silent for months and even years and it is likely that your husband acquired it from someone else and subsequently passed it on to you.
