What Causes Hoarseness And Dry Cough While Having GERD?

I have been experiencing progressive hoarseness in my throat, raspy voice, deeper voice and a little dry cough. I have a nodule that showed up on my thyroid and will have a diagnostic test next week. I also have asthma and treat with Symbicort and Cromolyn Sodium inhalation therapy. I m actually feeling pretty good except for the worsening hoarse throat. I also have GERD and take omeprozole every day. Do you think this hoarse throat and raspy voice is due to the nodule or perhaps all the asthma drugs I take?

GERD can cause hoarseness as well as asthma. i cant figure it out from your question wether your asthmaa is related to GERD or not but your hoarseness is probably related to it, aspiration of gastric acid causes irritation of larynx and vocal cords which leads to hoarseness. use of omeprazole would help with GERD and ultimately improve the hoarseness, also keep your head elevated while sleeping and avoid too much fatty and spicy food to prevent too much acidity.
