What Causes High Fever Associated With Dry Cough And Chest Pain?

hi im 24 yr female i have fever(101,102) for 1 month relieved by med for sometime only,associated with dry cough and left sided chest pain.cbc shows increased tlc, dlc shows raised neutrophils. cxr shows left sided pleural effusion small in vol.what it can be?

Thanks for your query.
From your history it seems to me that you have left sided parapneumonic effusion or empyema which is to be diagnosed by pleural fluid aspiration and study and to be managed by appropriate antibiotics and chest tube drainage if at all needed. You should consult a pulmonologist soon.
