What Causes High Blood Pressure And Miscarriage After Taking Loprin?
hello, my wife was in early stages of pregnancy...doctor recomended her loprin 75 mg to make her pregnancy stable. but after 3 days her BP reached to 170/120 and also she lost her pragnany. So is this was due to Loprin 75 mg or there could be some other reason?
Loprin 75mg is just a low-dose aspirin formulation, which is recommended to take during pregnancy for certain high-risk groups (women over 35 years of age, women with high blood pressure, and others). There is some evidence that it may help prevent the development of preeclampsia, which is a complication of late pregnancy.
So unfortunately, i am certain that your wife lost the pregnancy because of her high blood pressure, not because of the Loprin medication. I strongly suggest she have her high blood pressure evaluated and treated with medication before becoming pregnant again.
I hope I was able to adequately answer your question today and that my advice was helpful.
Best wishes,
Dr. Brown
