What Causes High Billirubin?

Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here...im a 14 year old boy and have had tea coloured urine for months. i have blood test etc and its all clear. i drink water and my urine is sometimes clear. they did say i have a high billirubin, and should have a scan. im scared

You should not be scared since there are many benign disease that causes elevated bilirubin. However, yiu need to do tests, CT scan and liver ultrasound, check viral markers and see is there some specific cause of bilirubin elevation which then can be treated.
