What Causes Heel Pain?

I have just been having lower heal pain the last 2 days in both of my feet. It feels like the feeling when you jump off something really high and your feet feel a shock but it feels like that all the time. Also the other side of my foot is feeling pain on both of my feet. just below the tibia, i guess where the talus bone would be.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,
Welcome to healthcare magic ,

Do not worry too much.It may be the initial stage of calcaneal spur formation. ( spur is an extra bone formation on the lower aspect of calcaneal bone ).

TREATMENT:

1) Use silicon heel cushion ( cushion to be kept inside the shoes ) when u r on the outdoors and use MCR ( Medicated corrugated rubber ) when u r in the indoors. Never walk barefoot.

2) Every night , do keep your feet in a bucket/tub with luke warm water with salt added to it.

3) Mild analgesic till the inflammation in the surrounding soft tissue comes down. ( T.Tolpa-D 1-0-1........... for 5 days )

In due course of time ( about 3 weeks ), the pain wil vanish as if it was never there.

regards.
