Women s health:I have been on the Mirena birth control method for over 1 year now. The last couple of weeks, I have had extremely heavy vaginal discharge which is clear in color, no real odor, and stretchy. About a week ago strings of blood and small clot looking bubbles of blood began appearing. All of this has been accompanied by sharp abdominal pain, mainly favoring the left side. What in the world is going on?
