What Causes Heavy Vaginal Bleeding?
Hi I am currently experiencing heavy vaginal bleeding due to fibroids, this has happened within the last week. I have had fibroids over the years I am 61 years old and had a myomectomy done back in 96 with pretty good results since then, but just last week I started bleeding out profusely and it has been non stop with a lot of pain mainly in my back. Hi I think you should consult a gynecologist for complete examination. Get a pelvic examination done by a gynecologist to rule out any cervical pathology. Get a ultrasound done to see uterus and ovaries and endometrial thickness. If endometrial thickness is more than 4mm, you may need endometrial biopsy to rule out any endometrial pathology. You can take some medicines like tranexamic acid to stop the bleeding. Hope it helps.
