What Causes Heavy Vaginal Bleeding Post Pregnancy Termination?

hi, I am 30 years old female i had abortion when i was 27. Aborted around 12 weeks, they used some machine kind to abort. Since then I use to get periods after 40 or 50 days and very heavy periods which disturbs my daily routine. Hello,
Thanks for sharing your health concern with us. I have gone through your query and would like to offer you some information. Your present menstrual pattern is suggestive of altered cycle pattern, probably due to delayed ovulation. This is most often caused by hormone imbalances and as the cycle is prolonged, and it is the pre-ovulation phase that is usually prolonged, the endometrial thickness is increased owing to estrogen effect. This causes the heavy shedding. Infections also should be excluded. There should be no hormone deficiency in the normal case, but, progesterone supplementation often is helpful in such situations. Hope this helps.
