What Causes Heavy Menstrual Bleeding?

I had post menapausal bleeding last fall and had an ultra sound and endometrial biopsy . All came back negative . And the bleeding stopped. Now 8 months later I started a heavy period again about 7 days ago. Minimal to no cramping. . But off and on heavy flow. What could be the cause ? Can I wait to be seen again if this stops on its own. ? Thank you.

Hello,

I think you should wait for it to stop. You are in pre-menopause. If you have one year without a period then you are officially in menopause and the period should not come anymore.

Otherwise, it is a medical concern if it comes.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
