What Causes Heavy Feeling In Ears With Hearing Difficulty?
Dear Doctor. I have this full, heavy feeling in my right ear with difficulty with hearing from it. When I blow my nose I get a loud screeching noise inside the ear and also a crackling sound in it when I bend forward. Could this be a warning for ear infection or anything to be concerned about. Your opinion would be very much Appreciated. Yours kindly. Greg.
Hi, Welcome to healthcare magic. I had gone through your question. I can understand your concern. This could be due to fluid in the ear. I recommend the following. 1) Oral decongestant like tablet levocetrizine with phenylephrine. 2) Oxymetazoline nasal drops for 6 days. 3) Valsalva's exercise: Blow air into mouth keep the mouth closed and nosr closed by pinching till you hear a pop up in the ears. This will help in clearing the fluid in the ear.
You will be fine. Nothing to worry.
Hope I have answered your question. If you have any questions, I am happy to help.
Wish you a good health and speedy recovery.
