Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello!

Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM!

Regarding your concern, I would explain that her palpitations could be related to a cardiac arrhythmia. Her actual heart rate is indicative of tachycardia.

For this reason, I would recommend consulting with her attending physician and performing a cardiac ultrasound and an ambulatory 24-48 hours ECG monitoring in order to investigate for cardiac arrhythmia.

Some blood lab tests (complete blood count, blood electrolytes) are also necessary to exclude possible metabolic causes that may trigger this clinical scenario.

You should discuss with her doctor on the above issues.

Hope to have been helpful to you!

Kind regards,

Dr. Iliri
