What Causes Heart Palpitations, Thyroid Nodules With A Short PR Interval?

My ecg shows a short pr interval. I have been having a lot of palpitations and my heart will beat really fast. I'm going for a stress and echo tomorrow. . I also have nodules on my thyroid. Can these cause a short pr interval and what is it? I also have emphysema, can this cause it?

Hi,

Short PR is one of the causes of antecedent arrhythmia. As you have frequent palpitations, I'll advise you to get a 24hour Holter monitoring done to rule out any arrhythmia causing the symptoms.
You can get the stress test and echo done as advised to see the effect of exercise on the heart.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sameer Maheshwari, Cardiologist
