What Causes Heart Palpitations And Panic Attacks?

I have a heart condtion called svt..for some reason these past few days I have been getting palaptions more than norm..it gets my mind worried that I am dying n I end up having a panic attack. They do away but I get them atleast 3 to 5 times a day..should I be worried or is it just anxiety

Hi,

Firstly, you should get one ecg done to confirm whether these is anxiety or svt. You may need HOLTER MONITORING for the same. Next, you need to get the dose of current medicines optimized, of beta blockers and calcium channel blockers like DILTIAZEM. If none of the above is successful then last option is of electrophysiological studies which is invasive test which can diagnose and treat the arrhythmia permanently in most of the cases.
