What Causes Heart Burn And Smell Of Amonia After Smoking Meth?

A little under 24 hours ago, I was talke dinto trying Meth. I smoked a little (one puff) and then was talked into slamming it. I also tried GHB later that day. A few hours ago, I started coming down from it and now I am noticing a heartburn sensation in my throat. I am also noticing that I seem to be exhaling a smell that resembles ammonia or something like it. Is this common? Should I be worried? What should I do in this case?

Hi,

Yes, foul smell emanating from the body after meth use is very common. This happens as the metabolites of meth are excreted by skin. The burning sensation is due to irritation of the lining of the throat by the harmful chemicals. Steam inhalation will help. Taking antacids may also provide some relief. Do not try meth or GHB again. These are highly addictive, especially meth, and you will find yourself hooked soon if you continue.

Best wishes.
