What Causes Headache And Severe Tiredness?

I punctured my ear drum several days ago and now have severe headaches and extreme tiredness. Doctor said there was a large blood clot preventing him from seeing if the ear drum was punctured, but gave me an antibotic. Should I be concerned about the headaches?

Hello,

You have a history of punctured ear. You have not mentioned here if you got it treated or have left it neglected. Now you are complaining of headaches & severe tiredness.

You are suggested to visit an ENT, get clinically examined, get investigations(audiogram, caloric test, MRI, Electrocochleography, Electronystagmography, etc done to detect the inner ear problem.

Blocked ears may cause tiredness, dizziness, vertigo, etc. Neglect will cause infections. Infections can reach the brain & cause further complications.

You are suggested to take Acetaminophen, one sos when needed to get relief from headache. Get treated at the earliest.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Nupur K, General & Family Physician
