What Causes Headache And Neck Pain While Suffering From Hyperthyroidism?

Hi everyone! I would like to ask if what might be my health condition. I have hyperthyroidism and do a monthly laboratory on my thyroid hormones and currently on neo mercazole as a maintenance. Ive been in and out of the hospital last month. Currently I am experiencing headache, neck pain difficulty swallowing and numbness and pain localized from the right side of my body. Thats from head to toe. I was prescribed with gabapentin and vit b complex but still the situation is the same. It also causes me to lose my appetite due to pain and discomfort even my breatjing is somehow affected. Can you help me out? Thanks

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Headache is a common side effect of Neo-Mercazole medicine. The right-sided body numbness should be evaluated for possible neurologic reason via detailed neurophysical examination.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel,
General Surgeon
