What Causes Grey Tissue After Getting A Dose Of Silver Nitrate?
I ended my period about 2 weeks ago, and last night i had a shooting pain in my left side and this morning, a grey tissue like ball came out. It looks to be a large flat piece clumped up into a raspberry sized ball. I got a dose of silver nitrate a couple days ago and Im thinking its from that. Im 19, sexually active and on an IUD.

Silver nitrate is a topical agent that is used to treat wounds and burns, to remove infected tissues around a skin wound, to stop bleeding from a skin wound etc. But like other medications or agents it has some side effects of its own. It may cause mild or severe pain like menstrual cramps, light or heavy discharge or bleeding, sweating, headache etc.
These side effects may persist for 1-3 weeks after getting a dose of Silver nitrate. But if these side effects last for more than 3 weeks after getting Silver nitrate then you should consult your doctor immediately for medical help.

Silver is deposited in skin after repeatedly using of silver nitrate. This is not harmful it will gradually go away as part of your skin's natural renewal and shedding process. So don't worry about it.
