What Causes Greenish Vaginal Discharge And Dysuria?
I am experiencing greenish vaginal discharge that is chunky like cottage cheese. Accompanying symptoms are itching, bleeding, and painful urination. I was recently diagnosed with trich and took a course of antibiotics (generic for Flagyl). I don t drink and did not miss any doses. The symptoms returned on the day before I took my last dose. I am currently waiting on the results of an STD screen. My symptoms are becoming unbearable to say the least. Any input that can be provided is appreciated. Thank you.
Your symptoms are suggestive of either an associated or superimposed infection to the trichomoniasis you had. This needs proper examination, a swab test for sensitivity and also blood counts, urinalysis and a pelvic/trans-vaginal sonogram. Pain during passing urine can be relieved by use of an urinary antispasmodic. Please maintain genital hygiene. Avoid using tampons and use sanitary napkins instead. Do not douche or use strong soap solutions to clean the genital region; you can use mild antiseptic instead. Further management can be planned once you get the results.
