What Causes Green Stool And Green Tongue?

Hello, I woke up this morning with a green tongue. When i went to the bathroom, my stool was also a shade of green. I haven t eaten anything with green food coloring, or any green leafs that could have made my stool green. I ve been fasting for the past month, so I m not sure that has anything to do. I have no pain, I m just curious as to what could have caused this. The only different thing I had yesterday were some prunes. Could that be the cause?

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted your history of having prunes a night before, no green foods or so, yet you woke up with green stool and tongue is colored green.
If there is no history of taking anything green, these changes are most suggestive of an infection with overgrowth of fungus.
I would advise you the following:
Send the scrapping of the tongue for examination.
Stool test and tests of blood and urine.
Blood to check for diabetes and thyroid problems.
And the treatment will depend upon the reports and clinical evaluation.
