What Causes Frequent Urination & Thirst?

My eight year old daughter has been urinating frequently and it always looks clear with a touch of yellow. We tested her for diabetes insipidus and the ADH level came back very low .o8. Her sodium was normal and the urine osmolality was normal as well. She tends to drink a lot of water. We gave her an MRI of her brain which was also normal. I fear that she may have DI and I am scared. What do you think?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

* There is the possibility of hormone imbalance causing diabetes incipidus.
* Better to follow up regularly with a pediatric endocrine specialist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
