What Causes Frequent Urination And Heavy Menstruation After Intercourse?

hi, me and my husband are currently ttc. we have been having unprotected sex all the time in the month of november. he has came inside quite a lot and i got my period so i dont think im pregnant. although, i have been having trouble breathing and i heard that its common in early pregnancies. also, ive been using the bathroom a lot! i went pee about 3-4 times in a 30 minute period. anyways, something about this period doesnt seem right.. its really heavy and i only have cramps on one side? they arent really bad cramps either! we want to be pregnant... what can we do ? or could we be pregnant? i heard that some women get their periods in the first trimester! also, could being on birth control for 3 years & being off of it for 4 months play a role?

Hello ma'am and welcome.

Yes, many women who have been on birth control for quite some time experience some undesired side effects when they go off it. But I cannot assume this without further investigations.

With a one sided pain, I would like to rule out conditions like ovarian cysts, etc. Please visit a doctor for an ultrasound of your abdomen and pelvis, hormone level check, and other investigations your doctor may think necessary. Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
