What Causes Free Fluid In Pelvis While Having Submucosal Fibroid In Uterus?

Hi, I have a T2 hypointense, submucosal fibroid in body of uterus (2cms) Fibroid shows intense enhancement in dynamic post-gadolinium images. Both ovaries are normal, but minimal free fluid is noted in the pelvis. Can you explain the fluid in the pelvis?

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
As per the report, it states that there is minimum free fluid in pelvis. This is not grossly abnormal to be worried about as it is due to the reaction happening due to the presence of submucisal fibroid, which could be compressing neighbouring structures.
You need to plan for surgery to get your fibroid removed at the earliest before it can land up in complications, which is more important.
Hence, kindly consult Gynecologist in this regard for appropriate management.
