What Causes Foul Odour From Vagina After A C-section Delivery?
Hello, I am extremely embarrassed to ask this question but here goes. I am a 30yr female, married for 11 years with 4 children -3 born via scheduled C-section my first was due to an incompetent cervix. Now, for the past 4 wks I have experienced a foul vaginal odor ummm.... I ve had yeast infections before and know my bodies response with that. I am getting very worried, I am menstruating right now and the odor is intense what should I do?
The foul odor coming from your vagina is indicative for possible vaginal infection. As you are menstruating right now, I advise to: - wash your genitalia with warm water and unscented soap - rinse well with warm water followed immediately by cold water - at the end, rinse with chamomile tea (cold) - apply iodine vaginal ovules you find over the counter. If you cannot find them, then, apply vaginal douches.
You can follow this strict hygienic measure until you see your OG specialist and run vaginal swab testing after bleeding is over.
All the best! Dr.Albana
