What Causes Foot Joints Pain While Having Diabetes?

hello, I want to know about my grand mother...her age is 72. she is feeling lots of pain in her foot joints. she cant even stand and walk properly. she is a diabetic patient. can anyone please suggest me what to do?? whom to refer from orissa, cuttack.her weight is 46kg and height is 5 ft. She is under treatment near Dr. A.K. Baliarsingh.

long standing diabetes can cause joint pains in feet esp ankle .if your grandmother has ankle swelling it may be charcots joint .knee joint can be due to osteoarthritis most commonly .muscle strengthening exercises and joint physiotherapy and sugar control can help . there are surgical options for advanced cases .you need to an orthopaedician regarding that .
