What Causes Fluid In Lung Of A Child?

Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here. the child is 13 been in hospital for 9 days. They dont know what is wrong. They have tested for measals,TB, they thought it was fiths. Now they say she may have endocarditis. They also said they see fluid in her lung

It would be better if you provide more details about onset, progress and duration of her complaints, details of investigation reports etc.
Common causes of pleural effusion in pediatric patients are infections (pneumonia, TB) and congestive heart failure, other causes are malignancy (cancer), kidney disease etc.
As you said your doctor have conducted various test for TB, measles etc. and infectious causes of pleural effusion are probably ruled out. Now your doctors are saying she is suffering from endocarditis. Endocarditis can cause pleural effusion if it involves right side of heart affecting pulmonary valve resulting in pulmonary congestion and effusion.
Two critical tests are almost always used together to diagnose endocarditis. One is called blood cultures, and the other is called an echocardiogram. Ask your doctor for these investigations to confirm diagnosis.
Your doctors know the clinical condition of daughter better than anyone else. Hence I would suggest you trust their clinical judgement.
