What Causes Fluctuating Blood Sugar Level While Having Diabetes?

My wife is currently being treated for diabetes and her sugar levels are on average about 220 and taking prescription once a day (500mg) but sometimes is as low as 160 and as high as 230. One time it was 330. She has changed her diet, exercises 4-5 times a week, and does not eat sweets. Her reading are very confusing.

Blood sugar level in the body will vary depends upon the type of food intake ,amount of food,drug dosage,stress,time duration between the two intake of food along with the physiological reaction (Metabolism).

normally blood sugar will go high immediately after intake of food and depends on the utilization of the body tisues it willcomes down to normal level.


HBA1C Test will give you average blood sugar level for the past 6 months.with that you can get a idea of control in sugar level.

reading blood sugar at different time will lead to confusion.

fix a proper time to read the sugar level routinely.
