What Causes Flashing In Vision?

I just had something strange happen to me, that I have never experienced before. I work on a computer all day...I just saw a large shape flashing in my vision that was jagged and bright. it kept flashing for about 15 minutes, but has now stopped. Is this something to worry about?

Hello
Welcome to Health care magic.

I reviewed your history. It seems from the history that you are having flashes of light.
Flashes of light are typically seen in problems involving the posterior segment of the eye like retinal thinning, vitreous degenerations....
Hence I advice you to consult your ophthalmologist for examination to find out the underlying cause and treatment accordingly.

Hope the information is helpful to you.
