What Causes Flank Pain Despite A Normal Urinalysis Report?

I had a rectocele repair and a bladder sling put in on 4/7/14. I had a catheter in place for 1 week post op. I was tested for a UTI when it was removed and it was negative. The last 2 days I have started experiencing flank pain with no fever. Its hard to judge urinary changes/pain since I am still recovering. Should I be checked again? Thank you.

Hi
Please check whether you are emptying the bladder well or not- a good way will be to have an ultrasound of kidneys and bladder which will also tell if there is any complication related to the operation. Urine infection is also a possibility despite the initial test for UTI being negative. Have you urine tested.
